ON THE bench is a line of enquiry in my effort to connect with people, especially strangers, within the context of identifying as a neurodivergent artist. Using personal history as well as shared moments, sitting side-by-side on a bench I take to public spaces, aiming to counter social isolation and loneliness.
Since the lockdown, ON THE bench has taken a different turn. During my solitary daily exercise walks, I have started photographing empty benches I come across. Below you will find a collection of images organised by postcode, all located in the City of London where I live.
